Suzanne is an MD, entrepreneur and innovator in health tech. For over a decade, Suzanne designed and researched the use of immersive telehealth to increase patient engagement in chronic disease management. She completed her research at Boston University, funded by more than $5M of NIH awards. In 2018, Suzanne founded See Yourself Health, LLC, an early-stage start-up established to bring immersive telehealth to the more than 36 million people living with diabetes. Suzanne’s vision is to restore good health and hope for people struggling with chronic disease by helping them become high-performing drivers of care. She is an expert in the field of patient engagement and is an award-winning innovator in this space. Under Suzanne’s leadership, SYH has raised over $2.6M in non-dilutive funding and secured working partnerships with regional and national health plans and health systems. Her visionary leadership has been recognized by the Massachusetts Life Science Center for outstanding women entrepreneurs. She has authored over 75 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters and conference abstracts. Dr. Mitchell is board certified in family and palliative medicine and also holds an academic appointment as Associate Professor at UMass Medical School. She is a mentor for the MIT Entrepreneur’s bootcamp and has mentored numerous aspiring health professionals and entrepreneurs. She is also a champion and advocate for efforts to reduce health inequities including her own work in health services research. Suzanne graduated from Bentley College School of Business and then attended Wake Forest University School of Medicine. She also holds a Master’s in Clinical Research degree from UCLA. Suzanne enjoys living with her family on the North Shore of Massachusetts.
Angelina is a Ph.D. entrepreneur that focuses on using immersive education to promote positive behavior change toward wellness. She currently serves as the Program Director for See Yourself Health and has over ten years of experience in clinical translational research and three years in delivering patient-centered health and wellness programs in both Spanish and English. Throughout her training as an HHMI Med-to-Grad Ph.D., a T32-funded post-doc, and NBHWC certified Health and Wellness Coach, Angelina has developed and executed projects in both academic and industry settings. She is a passionate advocate for growing the multicultural market through research and strategic partnerships, and hopes to positively impact the health of those living with chronic health conditions using a unique and immersive experience.
